Meet the Taylor Family
Ron Taylor, Auctioneer
Ron Taylor is a first generation auctioneer. But with three sons and two daughters in the family, it certainly will not be the last generation of auctioneers.
Living in a rural area on a fifty acre farm in the Inez community of Warrenton, NC, auctions have always been a fascination to Ron.
It all started with a local auctioneer doing auctions in a hay field directly across from his farm. In fact, before becoming an auctioneer himself, Ron had the local auctioneer sell some of his farm equipment he no longer needed and got a good price at the auction.
Just out of college and after spending three years in the US Army (1966-69), Ron started his professional career in the insurance and investment business in 1974 with the Prudential Insurance Company in Raleigh, NC before starting his own agency in 1980 as a financial planner where he worked primarily with business owners.
In 1978 he received the coveted Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) professional designation and in 1983, the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation. In 1999 he started his present company The Restorer, Inc., as a real estate investment and management company.
Ron has experience in the foreclosure and bankruptcy markets. He has helped owners in a foreclosure situation by working out a "short sale" with the lenders, thus stopping the foreclosure before it reached the courthouse steps. He has also worked with Chapter 13 individuals and couples that were "dismissed" from their filing.
In addition to holding an auctioneer license, Ron is a real estate broker. He is a graduate of the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering located in High Point, North Carolina.
He is married to the former Paula Carraway of Snow Hill, North Carolina.

Paula, left, my wife of 34 years, mother of my five children, home-school teacher, RN by education, is my best friend and counselor. When things don't seem to be going right, she always sees it as a test of faith and reminds me that God doesn't need my help, just my obedience.
Below, on the left is my daughter Rebekah with her pink John Deere hat. She teaches piano. Her sister Abigail, in the middle with some of her favorite animals (she has many), plays the piano and take singing lessons, and on the right, their brother Samuel, my right hand man, who loves to deer hunt.
On the bottom left is my 12 year old son Joshua who we call "squirrel man" as he loves to hunt squirrels (also working on his bid calling technique) and on the bottom right is my favorite picture of the Taylor boys and my favorite pastime, hunting turkeys.
So, as you can see, we have a good crew ready to go to work for all your auction needs.
